Allendale
With just under 7,000 residents and situated on 2.8 square miles Allendale is the perfect small town. In addition to its award-winning schools, Allendale has all the charm of small town America. The Main Street looks like a Norman Rockwell painting and the open space in the town makes it truly unique in the most populated County in New Jersey. Allendale is home to the Celery Farm, a nature preserve which consists of over 107 acres and is home to one of the most unique bird sanctuaries in the state. Another highlight is Crestwood Park, which covers 71 acres and includes a man-made lake with three beaches. Included in the park is a recreational barn, many sports fields and tennis courts. During the winter months the park is also available for ice skating. The downtown is quaint, offering the historic Allendale Bar & Grill and other great dining options. The Town Center has everything you’ll need for everyday essentials. There is one elementary school and one middle school, which then feeds into Northern Highlands Regional High School, which also serves students from Ho-Ho-Kus, Upper Saddle River and some of Saddle River’s students. Allendale has never lost its sense of history and strives to maintain a lifestyle that is reminiscent of times gone by. Memorial Day parades, hot dogs at the volunteer fire house and fireworks on the Fourth of July all reflect the small-town ambiance that is so rare.Sorry we are experiencing system issues.
